Cheshire West and Chester Council announce first EV awareness event

Free-to-attend, the idea is to improve understanding of how to transition to electric vehicles, and the programme is aimed at organisations and individuals. 

Set to take place at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on Tuesday 21st May, businesses and other employers are invited to attend from 8AM to 10PM. Registration is required in advance. Members of the public are then welcome to join from 10AM to 2PM. No advanced registration is required for the second session. 

A number of guest speakers are set to be unveiled closer to the time plucked from both the EV industry, sciences and accounting experts. Tax savings, salary sacrifice, grant availability, vehicle choice, eHGV, suitable charging infrastructure and energy supply will all be key topics of discussion. 

A number of vehicles will be on display throughout the event. These include the BMW i5, BMW iX2, BYD Atto 3, BYD Seal, Ford E-Transit, Ford Mach-E, MINI Cooper, Peugeot E-2008, Peugeot E-308, Vauxhall Astra Electric, Vauxhall Mokka Electric, Volkswagen ID.7 and the Volkswagen ID. Buzz., Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Toyota bZ4X and the Toyota Proace City van.

Companies with significant activities in the energy, charging, and transport sectors will also be in attendance. Visitors can expect representative from Char.gy, Connected Energy, DriveElectric, E.ON Drive, Health Boz, Joju Solar, TB Electrics and Trojan Energy, among other firms.
