The Street works Permit Officer role within the Highways Service is vital in processing Streetworks Permits and street works duties throughout Westmorland and Furness.
The role will ensure the authority complies with all its duties to coordinate and ensure all works on the highway are approved and planned to reduce congestion and minimise disruption to the public. The role will provide technical advice and support to other teams within the service and the role is also a key interface with utilities, contractors, members and members and public.
