As a member of our Virtual School and Inclusive Services, you will be responsible for delivering a bespoke innovation project for our children in care and our care leavers which will help them develop links to the local community, access personal and social development and inspirational coaching and mentoring support that will improve their wider outcomes.

We are recruiting to a number of posts for this project which are fixed term in the first instance until 31 March 2025:

Mentoring Programme Lead x 1 FTE (PO4)

Lead Mentor x 3 FTE (PO1)

Sitting within our Children’s Services Directorate, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring children and young people in our care are provided with the necessary support to achieve positive outcomes and move successfully into adulthood.   Alongside the delivery of impactful mentoring and coaching, a key focus of these roles will be to deliver training and support to our wider workforce focused on evidence based practice and to support the embedding of direct work, practical support and engaging activities for children and young people within our Children’s Services Practice Framework.  

We are looking for individuals who have the ability to work with children and young people who may have multiple and complex needs, are able to engage and inspire children and young people and deliver training and support to the workforce with confidence to bring lasting positive change for children, young people and families and the way that we work.
