Head of Economic Development and Regeneration

We are looking for a Head of Economic Development and Regeneration to join us at an exciting point in our transformation journey, within a new Directorate for Place. In this role you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the growth and development of businesses, residents and workers in Southampton, and the creation of sustainable employment, retail, leisure, cultural and residential provision. You will make sure the City utilises its assets, both in terms of people and property/land to deliver regeneration across Southampton, in conjunction with key partners and investors.

 You will work in close partnership with colleagues and local, regional and national stakeholders, including developers, investors and funding agencies to secure investment in the City. You will undertake a central role in the City’s key partnerships such as the Freeport, Local Enterprise Partnership and Sub/Regional Economic activity.
